UGC-DEB has introduced a new admission procedure for all Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online (OL) Programmes, starting from the academic session beginning in October 2024 (revised from July-August 2024).
As per the UGC-DEB Public Notice dated 19th August 2024, it is now mandatory for every learner (except international learners) to generate a DEB ID using their ABC ID before enrolling in any Open and Distance Learning (ODL) or Online (OL) Programmes.

Visit the UGC-DEB web portal https://deb.ugc.ac.in/StudentDeBID and generate DEB ID using your
Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) ID.If you do not have an Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) ID, you can
create one through DigiLocker https://www.digilocker.gov.in The DEB-ID, once generated, will remain.
valid for the student’s lifetime.
Note: Without a valid DEB-ID, admission cannot be granted to ODL/ OL Programmes.

Those students who have already taken admission in any of our ODL/ OL progarmmes in the
mentioned session and have not generated/ updated their DEB IDs with us, are required to update the
same through their respective LMS Log-ins through the path:
LMS (LPU e-Connect) Dashboard → DEB ID
