As per the notification issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, all the approved programmes offered through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the University established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Government.

As per Regulation 24 of the University Grants Commission (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2020 and the UGC Public Notice F.No. 28-1/2024(DEB) Dated 10th January 2025, universities recognized to offer Degree and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Programmes under ODL/Online mode can offer Certificate and Diploma level Programmes without separate UGC approval by fulfilling prescribed conditions.
